　　外婆已经67岁了，却有个“远大”志向：学好英语！我知道后有点吃惊，想她有这么好的记忆力和毅力吗？我教她玩游戏，讲了不知几百遍规则，第二天她还是会忘。所以，当外婆来拜我为师时，我真有点吃不准她是否能学好呢。

　　我一直自认为自已的教书能力还是可以的，看到外婆那求学的心，实在少有，就爽快地收她为徒了。

　　我把草稿本拿出来放在桌子上，让外婆坐在桌边。我在本子上写了字母A的大小写后，让外婆拿着铅笔也照着写。外婆目不转睛地盯着我写字母的'笔顺，眼珠随着我的笔尖转动。

　　我呢，边写边教她记的方法，比如：写J时想到雨伞杆，a的小尾巴不要太长……教发音时，我让外婆看着我的嘴巴，看着我的嘴形。外婆认真地看，我只教了几遍，她就发得很好，令我惊叹。然后我给她一个单词本，教她字母在五线格里的位置，外婆一笔一画认真地学写。

　　在我这个“名师”的悉心指导下，外婆的进步可谓一日千里了，读写都过关了。不是我教得好，而是外婆有那可贵的求学之心啊！

　　记得第一次上课默写单词的时候，我只打了80分，是全班最后一名。我感到很惭愧，为此李老师还和我谈过话，让我发奋努力超过他们。我自己也在心里暗暗地发誓，一定要努力，争取拿第一。

　　从这以后，老师只要求抄写的，我把它抄得全能默写出来；老师要求得读熟的课文，我把它读得能背下来，还能背得滚瓜烂熟，已至于别的同学读都没我背得流利；老师要求造5个句子，我把它翻倍，造10个句子。总之，每次我都比老师更严格要求自己。所以，到了第二次上课，读，听，背，写，我都是全班第一了。

　　为此，李老师为了激力其他的`同学，在班上宣布：只要谁赶上或超过了我，就翻倍奖励小盾牌。可是，李老师却在背地里三翻五次的告诫我说："你一定要更加努力，不要停步不前，这样他们会很容易赶上你的。"

　　听了李老师的话后，我也就更加发奋了。因此，到现在为止，我一直保持着第一的这个位子。

　　从这里，我终于懂得了"只要功夫深，铁杵磨成针"的道理：只要你努力了，就没有干不好的事情。

On the right hand of the room is a narrow closet with clothes,shoes, hats, tennis racquets, and boxes bulging out of its sliding doors.
