Notice,

　　Mr. Jackson, an American professor from Shandong University will give an English lecture on the modern American English in the school dining hall on Wednesday from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. October 14, 2011. Those who are interested in it are welcome and may invite their friends to attend it. But be sure not to be late. By the way, we have decided to set up an English Corner in our school to have free talks in English and improve our English from then on. We’ll have a further discussion about it after the lecture.

Dear students,

　　The Student Union is going to organize a music week. It is in the first week of May. The activities include singing pop songs, playing classical and folk music, and a musical competition. If you want to play classical and folk music, please bring musical instruments with you. No instruments are supplied. In the musical competition you will be asked to listen to part of a song or a piece of music and then tell where it is from. If you are interested in the activities and want to take part in any of them, please come to the Student Union to sign up before April 20th. The place for the activities will be announced later.
