Some people think wealth can bring happiness to them. It is true that most of them try to acquire wealth by means of honest labor. They work hard and overcome many difficulties. After doing this, they feel very happy and pleased. Even their spending money is a kind of happiness。
But some people believe wealth can’t bring them happiness. For example, when one gets a fortune, the family members will come from different parts of the country and try to share the wealth with him. And afterwards, they will quarrel with one another, trying to share more. And sometimes even appear bloody fight and killing. What a terrible result!
In my opinion, I think there is no doubt that wealth brings happiness, especially in the modern society. If you have money you can lead a comfortable and colorful life. But we should take a proper attitude towards wealth. Remember： money is not everything。

I like reading in my free time. I've read all kinds of books which are written by many famous writers from all over the world. But I like a Chinese writer best. His name is Xu Zimo.
Xu Zimo was born in a big family. His parents were good at writing and his father taught little Xu by himself. When Xu Zimo was very young, he was interested in reading. Fables, stories or novels were his favorites and he often nearly forgot eating and sleeping.
When Xu was about six years old, he began to write some short stories. He was always practising writing and he did better and better. But he still kept on reading, because he always believed that Reading makes a full man, a ready man and an exact man.
When he grew up, his life dream came true. He became a world-famous writer. Not only Chinese but also people from other countries worshiped Xu Zimo. His writing was enjoyed by all the people. Everybody thought that Xu's works were so nice and great. From his writing, people can understand a lot. I have learnt that if someone wants to be a great person, he must work hard!

there is no skepticism that our society is eperiencing a profound reformation. as most sociologists indicate, children are a more sensitive and particular group that deserves intensive attention. people readily witness the construction development while the distinct shifts that children confront are neglected. decades ago, people usually need not, or to some etent, could not make their own decisions because the so called "screw spirit" was adrotated greatly. one has no choice but to conform and adjust to the arrangement. compared to their predecessors, present freedom and choices are more readily available to children. almost everything ranging from education to career, religion to marriage is up to ones own wills. as a consequence, more emphasis should be attached to cultivating childrens ability to make their own decisions independently. in this way they will adjust better futures fierce competitions.
given that children should be entitled to make decisions,there emerges another problem how to make them efficiently.creativity and talent of children are not new. it is just that their personalities and characteristics are becoming more pronounced.unfortunately, it frequently happens that one born to be movie star who may probably win oscar award someday is ecluded in a drama club in school;an innate business elite is dismissed only in the name of violating the rules by selling christmas cards on campus; a more universal story is that the vast majority of children are merely ordinary people whose requests refer to leading a pacific life. how can parents or teachers impose their values of becoming someone on a child whose propensity is devouring a bestseller during spare time and going to movies with his or her spouse on weekends and refusing to working on additional hours in the unreasonable ecuse of a boss. although one is supposed to eert his utmost in some field, he also possesses the right to choose his or her own life style.
the intricacy of children issue lies not only in the lack of decision making opportunities, but also in being overlooked their essence children, meaning naive and credulous. it grieves us that the rate of adolescent crimes has been spiraling continuously. the number of teenagers involved in illegal se, violent hooliganism and drug abuse is still shockingly spiraling. some people often boast that the new generation are the best one ever before, but few of them are aware of the tough situation. we should not be overoptimistic and it is high time we took some substantial actions to cope with it. it is not lawmakers job, but the entire societys responsibility.
the ongoing debate concerning children will remain an eternal topic and we must call on more concerns toward them. it is generally accepted that the children nowadays determine future rivals among countries. consequently, it is worth our enthusiasm and wisdom to resolve this problem.

Cloudy
Li Ming and I took part in a wilderness survival program yesterday,which has become an unforgettable experience.
Yesterday morning we wore strong and comfortable shoes,
carried backpacks with the necessities in them and went to the mountain. We climbed a hill. On the top we saw a direction mark, which told us where to go. Down the hill, we came to a river. There were no boats but we had to cross it. Luckily, both of us had learned how to swim. But we shouldn t make our things in the backpacks wet. Seeing a piece of board, I got an idea. We put our backpacks on the board and swam in the water pushing the board. When getting to the other bank, with the compass we found north in which direction we walked half an hour. Finally, we arrived at the campsite. We set up a tent and made a bonfire.
The two of us spent the night in the forest.
We learned to use knowledge gained in classroom training to solve problems. It was quite an experience for both of us, which I ll never forget for the rest of my life.

i saw a big tent with many flags flying around it and a big sign in front giving the performance times and fees. this was the first circus i heard of in taiwan, so our family all went there one weekend. there were acrobats, trapeze performers, a bareback horse rider, and trained animals. there were special stunts high in the air-such stunts as walking on a tightrope and riding a bicycle along a high wire. also, there were some clowns with a big red nose who made everyone laugh. they also had tigers leap through loops of fire. everyone was ecited and happy with the two hours’ show, and probably net year i will go to see the circus again if there is one.

Parents, especially those of teenagers, care about their children’s education more than anything else. They could do everything for their children. Many of them spend most of their spare time coaching their children in studies; those who have time or cannot do it have hired tutors. Some also send children to after-class schools. Some even have tried to mould their home environment more favorable for study. It seems as if a better education is all that parents expect for children.
The present situation can be explained by the following reasons. First of all, as our country’s economy moves ahead healthily, many parents have become aware that future success depends more and more on skills and education. Lack of training and education will no longer ensure young people to have a promising future. Secondly, it is evident that in a competitive society there are both losers and winners. The better skills and knowledge children possess, the more opportunities they will be ensures. What is more, with school tuitions increasing it is also reasonable for parents to expect their children to be somebody or do something great as a result of education they have received.
Certainly, it is good to see much of parents’ attention on children’s education. However, in my opinion, emphasis should also be laid on fostering other abilities and personal qualities. True, it is important to learn to succeed, but the first thing to learn is how to survive and how to be a qualified citizen. If this is included in good education that parents are seeking now, their children will be definitely ensured not only of a bright future but also a sound intellectual and mental foundation, hence a healthy life.
